Dr. Marius Barnard; assisted his brother Christian Barnard in performing the first successul human heart transplant and was the driving force behind the development of Critical Illness Insurance. Dr. Barnard is quoted as saying: "people don't need insurance because they are going to die... they need it because they are going to live".
